Domain Registration

When you register a domain through Net-3.co.uk Ltd, you are entering into a contract for domain registration services. The registration period is typically one year, though longer periods may be available for certain TLDs.

Registration Charges

Domain registration charges vary by TLD (top-level domain). Charges are clearly displayed before you complete your registration. All charges are in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Registration fees are charged at the time of registration
Prices are subject to change, but will not affect domains already registered
Some TLDs may have additional setup or verification fees

Domain Renewal

Domains must be renewed before they expire to maintain your registration. We offer automatic renewal options to help ensure your domains remain active.

Renewal Process

Renew at any time during registration period
Extends registration by one year
Processed immediately upon payment
Renew multiple years in advance

Renewal Charges

Renewal charges are typically the same as registration charges, but may vary. You will be notified of renewal charges before payment is processed.

We offer automatic renewal services to help ensure your domains do not expire unintentionally:

Enable or disable in your account settings
Automatic renewal before expiry
Email notifications before auto-renewal

Cancel anytime before renewal date

Renewal Notifications

We send email notifications to remind you about upcoming domain renewals:

Important: It is your responsibility to ensure your contact email address is up to date. If you do not receive renewal notifications due to an outdated email address, we cannot be held responsible for domain expiry.

Domain Expiry and Grace Periods

If a domain is not renewed before its expiry date, it will enter a grace period during which it may still be renewed, though additional fees may apply.

Grace Period

30-45 days after expiry (most TLDs)
Domain may be suspended but can still be renewed
Renewal fees may include a restoration fee
After grace period, domain may enter redemption or be released

Redemption Period

Some TLDs offer a redemption period after the grace period:

Typically 30 days duration
Restoration fees: £100-£200 (plus renewal)
Redemption fees are in addition to renewal fees
Not all TLDs offer redemption periods

Domain Transfers

You can transfer your domain to or from Net-3.co.uk Ltd at any time, subject to certain restrictions.

Transferring Domains Away

Request authorization code from dashboard
Code sent to registered email address
Codes valid for 30 days typically
Cannot transfer if locked or within 60 days

Transferring Domains To Us

Authorization code from current registrar required
Transfer fees apply (same as renewal fees)
Extends registration by one year
Completes within 5-7 days

Domain Locking

Domains can be locked to prevent unauthorized transfers:

Locking prevents transfers but allows renewals and updates
Enable or disable from your account
We recommend keeping domains locked unless actively transferring

Changes to Charges and Policies

We reserve the right to change our charges and policies, but:

30 days advance notice for renewal charge changes
Changes don't affect existing registrations until renewal
Significant changes communicated via email
Current charges always visible in dashboard

Refund Policy

Domain registration and renewal fees are generally non-refundable once processed. However:

Refunds available if registration fails due to our error
5-day refund window for certain TLDs (subject to registry policies)
Transfer and restoration fees are non-refundable
